After a successful funding campaign at the back end of 2014, which the Journal reported on, Avenging Angel by Dark Amber Softworks has been released on Steam.
Press release:
KOUVOLA, FINLAND – June 1st, 2015: Dark Amber Softworks releases Avenging Angel in Steam Early Access PC June 1st 2015
Dark Amber Softworks releases Avenging Angel in Steam as an Early Access game on June 1st 2015 at 9:00 AM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).
Avenging Angel is a single-player PC-game. It is both an open world adventure FPS and an interactive story. The story takes place in fictional Northern City States (where modern-day Scandinavia is located) in a Steampunk setting, roughly 10000 years from our current day and age, where 21st Century has not only passed from history to legend, but also from legend into myth. The story takes place on an island where the player character is sent on a routine maintenance mission. It becomes quickly clear there is nothing remotely routine about this mission.
Avenging Angel also boasts weapon crafting and modding. Players can also craft power-ups by first collecting recipes and ingredients, and then utilizing the alchemy system.
The main voice cast now includes Danny Vaughn and Melissa Vaughn handling the voice duties of the two most important NPCs in the story, “Daedalus Finch” and “Freya”.
