Steampunk Journal - The best steampunk news, reviews, articles and guides
At the start of the month I launched a crowdfund campaign to raise £13,000 in order to build a new website. The Hellfire Club will be a gallery of portraits up to art nude levels. There are a number of unique points about The Hellfire Club that you may or may not know:
- Applications to have pictures taken are open to people of all genders (ie, male, female, gender neutral, genderfluid, asexual, transsexual etc), faiths and colours. The only restriction is that you must be of adult age.
- Everyone involved with the shoots will be paid. This will boost the local economy as around £650 will be spent on each shoot.
- Paying artists will help dispel the issues surrounding artists working for “exposure”.
In order to give potential investors an idea of what I will be creating, I’ve posted a full gallery below of images that would be at home in The Hellfire Club.
Hellfire Club images
The model in this shoot is Sapphire and she’s a professional. To get the site up to speed, I will use professional models to pose for me. Once the site is up and running, I’ll be extremely interested in accepting applications from steampunks in the community. Shoots will go to levels set by the model and no-one will be pressured to go any further. This isn’t Loaded magazine.
My aim is to make posing empowering to the model so that they can be proud of doing something that they wouldn’t normally do.
