Despite it’s name, Surrey Steampunk Convivial isn’t actually within the current borders of Surrey. Incorporating a County into the name also suggests a large, field sized event with thousands of trippers visiting for the weekend or maybe a fun day out. In reality, Surrey Steampunk Convivial is held in New Malden; a small town near Kingston-Upon-Thames. The event is located in the upstairs function room of a public house called The Royal Oak, with some of the fun spilling out to the church across the road on the Saturday.
